Amir Eghbali's Biography
I was born in Urmia, West Azerbaijan, Iran, in 1980. I received the B.Sc. degree from Iran University of Science and Technology as well as the M.Sc., the Licentiate, and the Ph.D. degrees from Linköping University in 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2010, all in Electrical Engineering, respectively. Between July 2011 and March 2014, I was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University. Between November 2009 and January 2010, I was with the Signal Processing Algorithm Group, Department of Signal Processing, Tampere University of Technology, Finland.I was the co-author of the chapter titled "Reconfigurable Multirate Systems in Cognitive Radios" in the book "Foundation of Cognitive Radio Systems" and the co-recipient of the Best Regular Paper Award in 2008 East-West Design and Test Symposium. I was an invited author to 2011 IEEE Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems; 2007 International Symposium on Image, Signal Processing and Analysis; 2011 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design. I have also been a session chair in 2013 IEEE Symposium on Circuits and Systems; 2011 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design.
I served on the editorial boad of Digital Signal Processing and I was invited as a reviewer for various journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I and II; IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing; IEEE Signal Processing Letters; EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing; Circuits, System, and Signal Processing; IEEE Communication Letters; IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems; IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications; IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems; European Signal Processing Conference; Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers; European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design; IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference; IEEE International Conference on Communications.
My main research interests include digital and multirate signal processing with applications to communication systems, application specific integrated circuits, and VLSI design.
