Torkel Glad
Background
Torkel Glad was born in Lund, Sweden in 1947. He received his M.S. degree in engineering physics in 1970 and the Ph.D. degree in automatic control in 1976, both from the Lund Institute of Technology, Lund, Sweden. Since 1988 he is professor of Nonlinear Control systems.
Research
The main research interests are in nonlinear systems, optimal control and algebraic methods in identification. Applications are in aircraft control and in systems biology.
Teaching
Currently I teach Modeling and Simulation and a PhD course in Linear system theory.
